Healing from Within: Jocelyn Johnson’s Journey to Whole Body Wellness
When a health crisis shifted Jocelyn Johnson’s life in 2011, she faced more than just physical challenges. The brain fog, drastic weight loss, and overwhelming hunger left her searching for answers that traditional medicine couldn’t provide. That’s when Jocelyn turned inward, beginning a journey that would transform not only her own life but also the lives of countless others.
Today, Jocelyn is the founder of Trillium Lotus and Whole Body Wellness, where she helps clients struggling with digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, thyroid conditions, and overall health challenges. Her approach blends clinical nutrition, herbalism, and empathy—always beginning with one powerful principle: food first.
Her expertise stems from years of rigorous study. Jocelyn earned her degree in Nutrition and Culinary Arts at Bastyr University, one of the nation’s toughest schools for evidence-based natural health sciences. She continued her education with a master’s in Clinical Nutrition and Herbal Medicine at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, expanding her ability to support clients with research-driven nutrition strategies and herbal knowledge.
But Jocelyn’s practice goes far beyond charts and diets. She believes in truly seeing her clients—listening to their stories, identifying imbalances, and guiding them toward whole body wellness. From teaching someone the simple power of sipping water instead of gulping, to helping menopausal women understand the role of cholesterol in hormone health, Jocelyn’s work is about restoring balance and connection within the body.
She also integrates her lifelong career as a hairdresser into her practice, giving her a unique perspective on how lifestyle, beauty, and wellness intersect. Her passion for creating digestive health solutions, skin clarity, and hormonal balance makes her work deeply impactful.
Jocelyn has lectured at Harvard School of Dentistry on the role of nutrition in post-surgical recovery and continues to advocate for using food as medicine, following Hippocrates’ timeless wisdom: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
At Trillium Lotus, Jocelyn empowers clients to find strength in their own bodies, heal through intentional food choices, and discover the life-changing connection between gut health, the brain, and overall vitality.
