After more than a decade as a television reporter and communicator, Myranda Stephens discovered her true calling: helping people buy and sell homes with confidence. Today, as a Compass Real Estate professional licensed in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and soon Virginia, Myranda brings together her background in storytelling, her love for challenges, and her deep sense of integrity to create unforgettable client experiences.

A Natural Transition from Journalism to Real Estate

Myranda’s journey into real estate began after a successful 12-year career in reporting and communications. While working in marketing for a Rockville-based contractor, she became intrigued by the process of property development and ownership. “Every transaction tells a story,” she explains. “Real estate allows me to guide people through one of the biggest chapters of their lives.”

Beyond accolades, she holds meaningful designations such as Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), which reflects her passion for helping older adults. Inspired by her grandmother who lived to 93, Myranda sees seniors as among the most vulnerable and deserving of care and advocacy.

Myranda also leads Homeowner Sips, fun and educational homebuyer workshops where clients learn about the buying process in a relaxed setting, often over wine tastings. For her, these events aren’t just about real estate—they’re about building trust and empowering communities to take the next step toward financial stability.
