Nora Elbedour: Real Estate with Heart, Hustle, and Howard-Bred Excellence

Realtor, The Nassar Group at Compass | Project Engineer, Prodigy Builders | Northern Virginia & Washington, DC

Some careers are chosen; others are discovered in motion. Nora Elbedour found hers by rolling up her sleeves. She messaged Sam Nassar, CEO of The Nassar Group at Compass, asking for a chance to learn. She started as a marketing and social media intern, fell in love with the rhythm of real estate, earned her Virginia (and later DC) licenses, finished her BBA at Howard University, and stepped straight into a full-time role supporting executive operations and contracts—while serving clients of her own.

Today, Nora splits her time between being a Realtor with The Nassar Group and a Project Engineer at Prodigy Builders, a hybrid path that gives her a rare, end-to-end view of acquisitions, development, and client representation.

People First, Always

Nora’s mantra is simple: this is not just a transaction. She nurtures relationships long after closing—checking in on holidays, grabbing coffee, even watering a client’s plants while they were out of town. That trust is earned in the details: clear communication, calm guidance, and a presence that says, I’m here—start to finish and beyond.

Howard’s Edge: Systems, Strategy, and Showing Up

Howard didn’t just teach Nora business—it trained her to treat relationships like assets and operations like a craft. She keeps meticulous databases, tracks every step of a deal, and builds efficient processes that make clients feel cared for and in control. Networking isn’t a buzzword to her; it’s muscle memory—referrals flow because Nora shows up where the community is.

A Northern Virginia Native as Your Local Guide

Born and raised in the Kingstowne/Alexandria area, Nora lights up when she’s helping newcomers fall in love with Northern Virginia’s range: city energy one hour, Great Falls trails the next. She’s the agent who’ll meet you at a Mosaic District festival, walk DC streets to feel a neighborhood’s pulse, and then map your week to fit your lifestyle.

What Sparked the Calling

On day one, Nora toured a Great Falls property that felt like a movie set. It clicked: she didn’t want a desk-bound life. She wanted the movement—beautiful homes, street-level discovery, real people, real decisions. Real estate became the perfect blend of business, design, and human connection.

Behind the Scenes: Organized. Efficient. Responsive.

Nora’s favorite part of the back office? Turning chaos into clarity. She builds checklists, tight timelines, and clean communications that reduce stress for first-time buyers and seasoned investors alike. With The Nassar Group—Sam, Shadia, Adam, and Susu—she’s part of a culture that’s hyper-responsive, deeply professional, and famously hospitable (housewarmings, holiday drop-ins, and “you’re family here” energy).

Storytelling That Sells (and Feels Human)

Nora loves marketing. From crisp listing videos to real-life bloopers, she uses digital storytelling to make homes (and the process) approachable. Education-forward content for buyers and investors builds trust; behind-the-scenes clips build connection. In a scrolling world, being real is a real advantage.

What Makes The Nassar Group Different

Professional to the core, welcoming to the bone. Drawing on a shared Arab heritage of hospitality, the team treats clients like extended family—open arms, open lines, and open calendars. Got a random real estate question at 10pm? Someone’s answering.

For the Next Generation (Especially Women)

Nora’s message is refreshingly grounded: It’s okay not to have it all figured out. Try things. Say no to distractions. Study the greats and give yourself grace when you make mistakes—that’s where growth happens. When you find your lane, go all in.

The One Word She Wants You to Feel

Kindness. In a stressful, high-stakes moment, Nora wants her clients to remember how seen, supported, and understood they felt—every step of the way.
